I’m Timo, a data and AI engineer based in Vienna.
I currently work at Erste Group. I started there as a technical expert for Databricks and was hire number two on the team, which I then helped build and scale.
When ChatGPT came out, I built up the bank’s AI capability. I was responsible end-to-end, from solution architecture through to deployment, for several use cases. Among them is a policy chatbot that is now used across the entire group.
Before that, I was at Accenture, helping clients put their data to use with AI.
I’ve been climbing for almost ten years, and lately I’ve been getting into alpine climbing and mountain running.
On the side, I like to read. Right now it’s Water Music by T.C. Boyle.
On the more technical side, I like my Garmin, mostly because I can hook it up to intervals.icu. As a hobby, I’m trying to steer my training with AI as well.
